VLS Technologies widens its presence in the international distillates market and supplies a fully automatic ATEX Certified lees stop filter (TLS-2-A) to the Belgian Owl Distillery.
The customer chose our plant because they wanted to replace their old sheet filters which did not allow them to still get appreciable results. By choosing our solutions, not only the quality of the product but also the yearly production has increased; all of this with an automatic machine which can work without any operator.

The Owl Distillery in short
The very first barrel of the Belgian Single Malt Whisky, The Belgian Owl, was filled on October, the 29th 2004 and shortly after that the sales started. The Belgian Owl has been available at the specialized Belgian resellers since 2008; they have promoted the product and shared the passion for the first Belgian whisky coming from the agricultural tradition of the country.
In 2010 and 2011 the product has started to be awarded both in international contest such as “World Selection” and “Le Mondial de Bruxelles” and in publications like The Bible of Whisky by Jim Murray.
